Wow, what a concert!
We had an amazing time at St James' Piccadilly on Saturday night, and it seems that the audience enjoyed it as well! Along with the first London outing for our second Toby Young commission, attendees were regaled with Whitacre, Victoria, Tavener, Allain and much more.
Apologies if you couldn't get a ticket: we sold out in record time, making for a busy secondary market in spare tickets among friends and family of the choir. We suggest putting a note in your calendar for next year, reminding you to buy your tickets early as possible!
Thanks also for your generosity in the collection after the concert, we raised over £700 for Bliss to help them continue their work with ill or premature babies and their families.
The choir has now celebrated our Christmas dinner - over 60 people crammed into our local pub for a traditional meal, mulled wine, an entertaining Secret Santa and of course a few carols. A fun and fitting way to end the year.
Best wishes for Christmas and the holiday season from everyone at the London Oriana Choir!
